Slashers are back! Not care they've really been gone, naturally, but following flaming on the heels of this weekend's Fear Street Part 1: 1994 comes the first image from eagerly-awaited horror remake The Slumber Party Massacre.

Ahead of its debut at Cannes this month, Bloody Disg u sting unveiled the pic, which errs less connected the slope of massacre and more on the face of slumber political party. That's pulverized, of course, as the photo gives a corking glimpse at the cast, putting the remake punt onto everyone's radio detection and ranging. And it couldn't come at a better time with Netflix's Fear Street trilogy reigniting widespread interest in the teenager slasher subgenre.

This new make over is described in the confirmed synopsis as: "A new contemporary twist-filled reimagining of the 1982 slasher furore classic impartial in fourth dimension for Halloween. A slumber company turns into a bloodbath, as a psychotic serial killer wielding a power drill disrupts the merriment."

It sounds look-alike the remake plans to hit the same beats Eastern Samoa the original. And, the like the 1982 standard oriented by Amy Holden Jones and written by Rita Mae Brown, this reimagined make over will be produced, written and directed away women.
